Day 2/ Dag 2

Day 2

Today was an early day, we got up at 7:30. We took the buss to Princesstreet and from there we walked towards the castle. It was a pretty long walk and also very steep! We got there around 09:30 and it was very busy cause of all the other tourist! As we walked in, we bought an audio tour to hear all about the castle and it’s history. The view was pretty awesome and overwhelming! First we went to the military museum in the castle and saw all the great Scottish history and what they did in war times. After that we went up the hill to the chapel and the honours of Scotland and the great hall. We saw the crown jewels which was pretty impressive. At 4 we went back to the hotel, on our way back we spotted some bagpipers and a record shop! I bought some amazing vinyl! We rested for a bit and then it was time to eat. We ate at the Hardrock Café Edinburgh! Really loved it, the people there were very friendly and the food was good. I was happy to hear KoRn blasting through the speakers!

Tomorrow is our rest day, we’ll go shopping!

Dag 2

Vandaag was een vroege dag, we waren om half 8 wakker! We namen de bus naar Princesstreet en vanaf daar liepen wij richting het kasteel. Het was een vrij lange wandeling en bovenal erg steil omhoog! We waren ongeveer rond half 10 bij het kasteel en het was behoorlijk druk vanwege de andere toeristen. We kochten een audiotour toen we binnen liepen zodat wij alles konden horen over het kasteel. Het uitzicht was prachtig en ik was er heel erg onder de indruk van. Als eerst gingen wij het oorlogsmuseum in, ik wist niet dat Schotland zo’n grote geschiedenis had met oorlogen. Nadat wij het museum in waren geweest gingen we naar het kapel en de honours of Scoland waar de kroonjuwelen liggen. Dit was erg gaaf! Rond een uur of 4 gingen wij weer terug naar het hotel. Onderweg kwamen wij doedelzak spelers tegen en kwamen wij ook nog een platenzaak tegen. Natuurlijk heb ik hele gave platen gekocht! We hebben even gerust bij het hotel en toen was het tijd om te eten. We hebben bij het hardrock cafe gegeten! Ik vond het super gezellig daar, de bediening was erg vriendelijk en het eten was heeeerlijk! Ik werd heel blij toen ik KoRn door de speakers hoorde!

Morgen is onze rust dag, we gaan lekker shoppen!
